They chased the target down in rather unorthodox fashion, losing seven wickets on their way to victory.
The team could have finished as high as third with that result if other games went their way, but as it ended they finished in fifth place out of eight teams.
Central captain Peter Wood, who was out with a hamstring injury, said his side had a good end to the season.
"Our bowlers did a very good job. They have been good all season.
"Probably what has let us down a bit this season has been our batting, which has been a bit weak. But a couple of the guys are coming into good form so it's getting better."
He said the new season after Christmas started on January 12, so the team would have a only short break before hitting the nets once again.
Mount Maunganui won the overall title after a nervous wait on Saturday.
They needed an outright win against rivals IMF Cadets to ensure the title of Baywide Cup champions, but could only manage a draw.
An urgent telephone call revealed they had sneaked victory in the 2012 Baywide Cup, after second placed Greerton fell to the hands of East Bay United.
The Mount got off to a slow start to their game, with the champions struggling at 95/7 halfway through the first innings.
Enter Mount Maunganui heroes Alex Gooding and Tony Goodin, both better known for their feats with the ball.
Unconcerned about the big ask, the two lower order batsmen blasted a partnership of 144, with Gooding posting an unbeaten 103 while Goodin was bowled out for 63. The Cadets' fielders dropped both batsmen when they were on one run each.
Mount Maunganui's turn at bat finished at 263/8, which in the end led to a draw.
