Eastern Pirates have kept their unbeaten record after Christmas beating Geyser City in the Rotorua Cricket Association reserve grade competition on Saturday.
Batting first Eastern Pirates were all out for 219 off 37.1 overs, Alan Porter scoring 51 not out, Dale Wihapi 43 and Jared Christofferson 44. Bowling for GeyserCity, Manesh Kumar took three wickets for 29 runs and Chris Nairn three for 51.
In reply, Geyser were out for 159 in the 39th over with Kerry Hingston scoring 26, Darsh Kannagava 25 no and Nairn 20.
Bowling for Pirates Joe Wiringi took three for 18, Johnny Wiringi three for 12 and Adam Daniella two for 32.
Wicket keeper Cameron Ingram put in a solid performance for Geyser City with the Western Heights High School student taking three catches and secured a stumping but it wasn't enough to give his side victory with the Pirates winning by 60 runs.
