"He said he never thought he could do some of the things he did on the course. It gave him a lot of confidence."
Ms Robinson said they were now looking to raise enough money to send five people on the Outward Bound course.
"My goal is to raise $10,000. We have already raised $2000 from the Nightmare at the Museum event."
The Lakeland Queen has offered their services free this year, with a masquerade-themed Halloween party planned for the night of October 26.
Tickets are $40.
The Rotorua Zombie Walk begins at 12.30pm on the same day.
The cost is $5 and people can come in full costume and make-up or receive basic face painting at the Soundshell prior to the walk.
People can register at the Night Market tomorrow or before the event, between 10am and noon at the Soundshell.
Ms Robinson said they were expecting a good turn out.
