Xterra World Championships competitors Lewis Ryan and Oliver Shaw attended the Mokoia Intermediate assembly last Friday to talk about their experiences in Hawaii. Xterra is a world-wide trail running and walking series.
Lewis, an ex-student of Mokoia, won the bronze in the under 21 division. Oliver competed in the professionaldivision.
They presented the athletics awards to our house captains, the trophy for the house relay went to Ngongotaha captains Tanner Lawson and Kaci Dittmer and the overall trophy to Tarawera captains Stella Pinckney and Josh Vandy.
