Problems getting into the Redwood Centre from Tarawera Rd are soon to be a thing of the past for drivers.
In November last year the Rotorua District Council and the property's developer redesigned the entrance to the Redwood Centre to allow right turns off Tarawera Rd after a large numberof complaints.
Council works manager Peter Dine had previously told the Rotorua Daily Post the changes resulted from new recommendations made to the council by the developer's traffic consultants after the council held a review of traffic issues.
Mr Dine said work should only take a couple of days to complete and was being paid for by the developer Tony Bradley.
Up until now, right turns into the centre from Tarawera Rd were illegal but, this did not stop hundreds of people making the potentially dangerous manoeuvre.
