The team in a kit that resembles a bee is producing honey at the right point in the season.
Having spent much of the season figuring out who should play where, Waikite looked a more settled side during their 29-0 win over Waimana on Sunday.
It was the perfect start to the Cup phase of the competition and came on the back of a 65-0 win over Rotoiti the week before.
Waimana had all of the possession and territory in the first 10 minutes, but could not find a way over the try line.
Waikite turned the ball over and worked their way up field before spreading the ball left to winger Regan Ford, who dived over in the corner for the first try of the game.
That proved to be a theme throughout the afternoon as Waikite absorbed wave after wave of attack before breaking away to score on the counter-attack.
Towards the end of the first half Waikite had their second when Luka Connor, who is fast becoming a try-scoring machine with four in two games, bulldozed her way over to score.
Despite conditions being slippery underfoot, Waikite showed a willingness to play expansive rugby when the opportunity presented itself.
Waimana came to play in the second half and for 20 minutes they peppered the Waikite try line but just could not break through.
Their best opportunity came when they shifted the ball wide to winger Amiria Mika who looked in for all money in the left-hand corner, but the Waikite defence scrambled and got across to drive her over the sideline.
With 20 minutes to play Waikite finally had some possession in the Waimana half and they made it count.

First five-eighth Dolly Roberts led Waikite around the field admirably all afternoon, consistently making the right call when it came to kicking, passing or running the ball.
Waikite had a scrum inside the Waimana 22. They shifted the ball left and then came back to the right where Roberts ran hard at the defensive line before producing an offload for loose forward Jamie Haumaha to crash over and score.
That try took the wind out of Waimana's sails and the floodgates opened.
Minutes later Haumaha was in for her second.
Waikite again found themselves inside the Waimana 22 after Roberts regathered a chip-and-chase on the right-hand side of the field.
They shifted the ball left and prop Jania Khan produced a piece of skill any back would be proud of.
She straightened up, sold a dummy and offloaded to Haumaha who was rewarded for some great support play with a second try.
Right on fulltime Waikite put the cherry on top with their fifth try, and again it was Roberts running the show.
She got the ball on the right-hand side of the field and had defenders scrambling to slow her down before putting her captain Eliza Stephens through a gap to score and seal a 29-0 win.
Waikite coach Shane Wilson said he enjoyed the way his players were taking his instructions onboard.
"We've really improved our ruck defence, being able to shuffle backwards and forwards pretty easily.
"They were under huge pressure but they soaked it all up, got down the other end and scored some points," Wilson said.
While piling on points was welcomed, he was equally pleased about the two clean sheets.
"We're just trying to carry that momentum through because we're on the road for the next two weeks - if we keep working like we are we should be all right".
He said Waikite's loose forward trio of Connor, Haumaha and Sequoia Autumn were dominant again.
"They work well together, Luka got another try, Jamie got two - they're the leaders in our team and they get their work done.
"Dolly [Roberts] wanted to play prop at the start of the season but I moved her to first five, she's got a kicking game, she always takes it to the line and draws defenders in."
Having scored 94 unanswered points in their last 160 minutes of rugby, Waikite are in hot form.
