A woman remains in a stable condition in Rotorua Hospital after an alleged assault in Rotorua yesterday.
The woman was seriously injured after the alleged incident on Devon St around 11am.
A police spokeswoman said a vehicle with the alleged offender inside left the scene and the female was takento hospital by ambulance.
The vehicle believed to be involved was spotted by police on Old Taupo Road around 11:30am and failed to stop for police. The vehicle was spiked and one person taken into custody.
A 17-year-old has been charged with aggravated robbery, failing to stop, dangerous driving and was due to appear in Rotorua Court today.
