A woman has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition after being thrown from a vehicle.
The BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was called at 3pm yesterday to a car crash at Ngawaro, north of Rotorua.
A vehicle carrying five people rolled down the road, ejecting a 31-year-old woman.
