Police are investigating two indecent assaults incidents in Whakatane and are asking the public for help in identifying the alleged offenders.

The incidents happened between 4pm and 4.30pm on Monday, one in Boon St and one in Canning Pl.

Both alleged offenders have been described as European youths aged about 16 or 17.

One is of solid build with a slight gut, brown shaggy hair and a cone stretcher in his ear. He was wearing lime green board shorts with a red shirt and shoes.

The other is described as skinny with mid-length hair. He was wearing brown shorts and a striped singlet or T-shirt.
