Whaka defeat Rotoiti to take shield

Whakarewarewa has defeated Rotoiti 36-26 at Puarenga Park this afternoon.

The home side scored five tries to Rotoiti's three in front of a big Easter Saturday crowd in the first game of the Baywide season.

The win sees Whakarewarewa secure the Tai Mitchell Shield and Banner.
