Website victim repaid

A Rotorua man who was ripped off after someone got into his Trade Me account has had his money paid back.

Darryl Wilson, who owns Cactus Jack Backpackers, maintains a computer hacker raided his Trade Me account, took his credit card details and stole $543 in March.

Trade Me denies its site could have been hacked and says Mr Wilson was duped in a scam which enticed him to supply his card details to a fake Trade Me website.
