Tickets are on sale for the artistic extravaganza CreationFest, on display in Rotorua next month for five shows, with locals welcome to join in the revelries.

CreationFest, which builds on the former Wearable Creationz event, includes film and live performance categories as well as the much-loved wearable arts display.

Locals and visitors will be able to feast their senses at this heralded event showcasing the best of Rotorua's creative talent.

CreationFest has five entertaining performances starting July 15 at the Blue Baths.

Matinees and evening shows are available, with selected shows including a Mad Hatters' Tea Party and Creative Hat Competition, and a cocktail hour.

The former Wearable Creationz event was revitalised to further encourage interest in art, design and innovation, and foster young, up-and-coming talent.

CreationFest event co-ordinator and Blue Baths managing director Jo Romanes said she was excited to bring wearable arts back to Rotorua after a year's hiatus.

"We have set about to create an innovative, dynamic and highly-entertaining show which will have room to evolve and develop over time.

"It's going to be a fantastic community event with some new energy and thinking, building on the Wearable Creationz legacy."

House of Travel supreme prizes up for grabs include trips to New York and Melbourne along with spending money, plus much more in the prize pool.

CreationFest is on over five shows from July 15-19.

Tickets are available at creationfest.co.nz.
