Two Waikato girls missing with connection to Bay

Update: The two girls reported missing in Hamilton since Sunday have been found safe and well.

Police have thanked the public for their overwhelming response and assistance in this matter.

The 12-year-old and 13-year-old girls were located in Hamilton this afternoon and have been reunited with their families.

Earlier: Hamilton Police are appealing for information to help locate two girls who have been missing since Sunday.

Kazalia Gerrard, 13, and Mykaila Andrews, 12, left Kazalia's home at about 5pm on Sunday.

They were spotted in the Hamilton CBD on Monday, but their families have not seen or heard from them since.

The girls were believed to be in the Hamilton area but also have relatives in Rotorua and Bay of Plenty.

Mykaila was from the Te Pahu area near Pirongia.

"We are concerned due to their ages and the company they may be keeping, and would like to reunite them with their families," said Senior Sergeant Greg Foster.

Anyone who sees the girls, or has knowledge about their whereabouts, was asked to contact Hamilton Police on 07 858 6200.

Alternatively, information can be left anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
