By KELLY BLANCHARD and ALISON BROWN in Rotorua
To say Saturday's Rotorua wedding of Scott Morrison and Stacey Daniels was like a fairy tale would be an understatement.

The television personalities became husband and wife at a stunning ceremony on Te Papa e Ouru marae in front of
Ohinemutu's Tamatekapua meeting house before more than 250 invited guests, including TVNZ presenter Neil Waka, comedian Mike King, former MP and broadcaster Willy Jackson and former TVNZ newsreader Richard Long.

Photographers were banned from the wedding because the pair had signed an exclusive deal with a women's magazine, however, onlookers, Ohinemutu residents and tourists watched the open air ceremony.

Both Morrison and Daniels, who are Te Arawa descendants, announced their engagement at the Maori Sports Awards in Rotorua last October.

Morrison, a newsreader for Te Karere and Daniels, a long-time television personality, chose a service that was set apart from any traditional wedding by its spectacular setting and Maori flavour.

Daniels wore a strapless white dress with a sweetheart neckline and was tightly rouched below her hips before flowing to the ground.

She was given away by her father Tipene Daniels and attended by six bridesmaids who wore salmon pink halterneck dresses. Among the bridesmaids were her sister, Natashya Guttenbeil (wife of rugby league star Awen Guttenbeil), Nevak Ilolahia from Rotorua, singer Hinewehi Mohi and Juanita Meeuws (wife of former All Black Kees Meeuws).

Morrison had six groomsmen - Paora Morrison, Campbell Morrison, Raymond Morrison, Rawiri Morrison, Peter Morrison and Michael Dorset.

Daniels carried a posy of pale pink and white roses and wore a full-length veil.

Yesterday Terry Morrison told the Daily Post the wedding was "absolutely wonderful".
