Trio pays tribute to country legends

Country music fans can enjoy the music of three country greats when Kings of Country comes to Rotorua.

The show, a tribute to country singers Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers and Johnny Cash, will be held at the Rotorua Civic Theatre on June 12.

The show, popular in the United States, will be in Rotorua and Hamilton for only two shows.

It will feature American musicians Philip Bauer as Johnny Cash, Marion Deaton as Willie Nelson and Marty Edwards as Kenny Rogers.

Bauer will perform hits including Folsom Prison Blues, I Walk the Line and Ring of Fire.

Deaton is known as the world's leading Willie Nelson tribute artist, and Edwards will sing Kenny Rogers' classics.
