The fourth annual Okere Falls Store Strong Beerfest promises to be another one for the memory files with the event continuing to gain positive momentum every year, says organiser Kim Chater.
This year is a departure from earlier years, with the festival kicking off on Saturday from 5pm.
Local pianotuner and accordion player Hubert Verhagen is making his stage debut with proper German, Swiss and Austrian tunes to set the mood.
Then for people who remember the Solomon Cole Band, it has re-formed and will play under the new name of Waiheke International Soul Orchestra.
"With amazing international musicians they will be blazing soul, rock and funk throughout the night," said Ms Chater.
Sunday offers another fantastic line-up with local artist Sam Ricketts looping "irresistible tracks that will get you grooving".
He is opening for Soul Satellites, a high-energy band that mixes Cuban, Latin and reggae beats performing everything from Sublime, Bruno Mars and original beats.
A bus is running from the city to the beerfest, leaving from 1241 Fenton St at 5pm.
