Hundreds of bikes and some top live musical acts will make up the new and improved Waipa Bike Fair which will round off the 2014 Rotorua Bike Festival.
The bike fair will be hosted at Mountain Bike Rotorua's headquarters next to the Waipa mountain bike carpark and is supported bythe Rotorua Bike Festival Trust and the Rotorua District Council.
Bike Fair director Takurua Mutu said the bike fair was not just about mountain biking as they wanted to incorporate the whole of the outdoor adventure industry and inject a real festival atmosphere.
"We want to add something a little different to the festival and extend on the bike expo held last year at the Convention Centre.
"Not only should this be a great day out for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike, it will also be a nice way to end the bike festival with great music, delicious food, quality drinks, awesome bike and outdoor adventure products as well as, of course, the very cool people that make up our wonderful community."
Mr Mutu said More FM would provide early entertainment with local band Latest Fallout performing from 10am, Kylie Waaka from 11.20am, Strangely Arousing from 1pm and Swamp Thing from 2.30pm.
Rotorua winery Volcanic Hills will provide refreshments, including award-winning Croucher beer.
There will also be a mobile juice bar, a wide range of food vendors and a huge range of the latest cycling products from some of the big names in the business.
Bike vendors such as Giant, Specialized, Worralls, Trek and Yeti will have bikes on display along with Nzoactive, Canyonz, Hukkit, Action Downunder and Enduro Clothing.
Rotorua businesses such as Ogo, Agroventures and the Okere Falls Store will also be represented.
The Waipa Bike Fair will be held on Sunday February 23 from 9am to 5pm. Entry is free.
