Traffic is now flowing at the busy Hemo and Old Taupo Rd intersection after a two-car collision which left three people injured.

The crash left early morning traffic banked up on the busy road.

St John said they were still at the scene assessing three patients, with minor injuries.

The scene was being cleared and traffic was moving again.
