The Rotorua Homeshow has changed its name - but the event director says the show will be as great as in previous years.

The three-day event, formerly The Rotorua Daily Post Home & Leisure show, is being held from July 14 to 16 at the Rotorua Energy Events Centre.

Renee Murray, event director at NZME events, said the show had a fresh new look this year but was still the same great exhibition that NZME had run for the past nine years.

"This year we have some exciting new companies joining us along with many exhibitors that have returned year after year. There will be products for your home, garden, industry experts, food, wine and so much more."

She said there would be something for all of the family, and with an entry price of $5 and free for under 12s it was a great day out.

For those who head along there is a chance to win a trip to Fiji from helloworld Rotorua, valued at more than $7000.

The travel agency's Rotorua owner-operator, Deborah Kay, said it was a "great prize".

Flights are with Fiji Airways and the trip involves spending four nights on Treasure Island before a three-night Captain Cook island cruise, Mrs Kay said.

"We've been exhibiting at the homeshow for at least seven years. This year our stall will be even more 'wow' . . . we find it an excellent event for getting our name out there and chatting to people. We find it beneficial to be involved."

It will be the third year Waikato-based company Wild Exposure has a stall at the show.

Gary Bjerring, director and founder of the landscaping business, said he had made "really good" contacts in the past at the event, including one in particular last year which resulted in a nine-month project at a property overlooking Lake Okareka.

Mr Bjerring said his stand would include a massive outdoor dining table made from two halves of a split river boulder, weighing in at over 1.5 tonnes.

Tracey Vandenberg, on-site show manager for the event, said there would be as many stalls as last year "with some new exhibitors and some familiar faces".

Everything was tracking along very well, Ms Vandenberg said.

"We're very excited, things are going awesome."
