A large crowd attended the first Te Arawa Partnership Meet the Candidates hui.

Held at Te Papaiouru marae, Ohinemutu, on Sunday, it was an opportunity for iwi to hear the candidates who wanted to represent the tribe on decisions made in the Rotorua Lakes Council.

Voting packs have been posted to all members who are over the age of 18 and registered on the Te Arawa Lakes Trust register. People can still register until voting closing date on October 29.

Voting can be submitted by returning the voting form by mail, or by voting online at https://evote.electionz.com/e/talt2015.

The next Meet The Candidates hui will be held at the GHA Centre on Fenton St on Friday from 6pm to 8pm.
