Two Bay of Plenty people were flown to Waikato and Auckland hospitals for medical treatment this week.
The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was tasked to transport a 36-year-old spinal patient from Tauranga to the Spinal Unit at Middlemore Hospital on Wednesday.
Shortly after returning to Tauranga, the rescue helicopter wasdispatched to Te Kaha Medical Centre, where a 59-year-old male was suffering a medical condition that required immediate hospital care.
He was airlifted to Waikato Hospital for treatment.
