Taupo concert tickets selling fast

Tickets are selling fast for Taupo's Reggae By The River, which features the cream of the New Zealand reggae roots scene.

The concert takes place on December 30 at Riverside Park.

The Black Seeds, Katchafire and Sons of Zion will be joined in Taupo by the 'next big thing' in dub reggae, Manalion.

Early-bird tickets have already sold out. Organisers urge fans to grab their tickets early as Riverside Park does have a limited capacity.

Gates will open at 5pm and the event is family-friendly with children 12 and under free with an accompanying adult.

Kids should bring their togs as Wet 'n' Wild waterslides will be operating from 5pm to 9pm. For only $5, those aged between 5 and 16 old can slide all night.

A range of delicious food and cold beverages will be available on site, but concert-goers may bring sealed water and non-commercial food.
