I like fireworks from a distance but not up close. I think organised community events are safer and it minimises the risk of people getting hurt or property damage.

I'm from the Philippines and over there fireworks are banned from public use and are only used in organised displays. I think it's better this way because it's safer and it's also a waste of money to buy your own fireworks.

It's a difficult topic but I think it's about selling them to the right people. As long as they don't get in the hands of young kids and are used responsibly I think it's fine.

I think they should be sold to the public. If there were more fireworks displays in Rotorua then maybe there wouldn't be the need to sell them.
