Six jobs for axe at Forman

Rotorua's branch of Forman Commercial Interiors is set to close with the loss of six jobs.

The news came as Fletcher Building announced it was restructuring the former Forman Group business which it bought in 2007.

Nationwide, Forman Commercial Interiors and Forman Insulation would be consolidated with eight branch offices - including Rotorua's - closing and 55 positions being affected.

Forman Building Systems and Forman Manufacturing are also restructuring.

A spokeswoman for the company said six positions in Rotorua would be disestablished.

"We are working with the people affected to help them through the process. We will pay redundancy where appropriate and will also discuss other options including redeployment if relevant."

It would also offer those affected a range of support initiatives including CV writing, interview techniques, career planning and how best to look for new opportunities, as well as counselling and support.

"For all Forman customers we are liaising with them to ensure they have the appropriate service during the transition process."
