"We were able to push on right from the off and after building a 12-0 lead at halftime we never looked back."
Rotorua Boys' player Kahlil Aldworth-Bidois was named under-15 player of the tournament and was selected in the under-15 team of the tournament along with teammate Robert Mischewski.
Mayhew also highlighted the performances of Tuki Simpkins, Stuart Leach, Tama Te Aute, Bernie Hati and Nikki Jacobs but added it was a complete "team effort".
"This win finishes off a very good year for a very talented group of students and coaches," he said.
"They gave everything leading up to this tournament with extra practices and it really showed on the day. I am very proud."
Meanwhile Rotorua Girls' High School also tasted a golden victory in the under-15 Female Cup final - beating Aorere College 19-0 on Friday.
Rotorua Boys' High School under-19 side made the semifinals of their grade's Male Cup but were beaten by Hamilton Boys' High School.
