One person has been flown to hospital with serious injuries after a two car crash north west of Rotorua.
A police spokeswoman said police were called to the crash at 10.40am at the intersection of State Highway 5 and Harwoods Rd in Tapapa.
A fire service spokesman said one
person had been trapped and was extracted using rescue equipment.
They were flown to Rotorua Hospital by rescue helicopter.
Another person was taken to Rotorua Hospital by ambulance with moderate injuries.
