Critical injuries in crash involving truck on Settlers Rd, Reporoa

One person has been critically injured in a crash between a truck and another vehicle in Reporoa.

Police were called to the crash on Settlers Rd, near the intersection with Wharepapa Rd, about 6am.

A St John spokesperson said one first response unit, one rapid response vehicle, one manager, two ambulances and one helicopter were sent to the scene and one person was airlifted to Rotorua Hospital in critical condition.

Settlers Rd was closed for several hours but has now reopened.
