Finals weekend in the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic Secondary Schools rugby competitions looms as a cracking day at Blake Park this weekend.

Five finals on three fields within four hours, featuring sides from eight schools across the Bay of Plenty mean there will be plenty of bragging rights at stake come tomorrow afternoon.

Otumoetai College will start as favourites to extend their unbeaten streak in the Division One final against Taupo Nui-a-Tia, but will need to be wary of an opposition that bullied Bethlehem College before beating Trident High School in the semi-final last week.

Aquinas College will play the Rotorua Boys' High School 3rd XV in the Division Two final, with the Rotorua school's under-15 side to play fellow Central Bay side Rotorua Lakes in the Division Three decider.

Opotiki College will face Te Wharekura o Mauao in the under-15 final.
