Sagami Women's University High School visited Western Heights High School during their trip to Rotorua from Japan.
Celebrating their 10th annual visit to Rotorua, 300 students from the Sagami Women's University High School in Japan have just finished their latest exploration of the city and in doing so, have clocked the school's total visits to 3000 students.
The school visited Te Puia to experience Maori culture andgeothermal activity and to catch a glimpse of the kiwi. They also planted trees at Skyline Rotorua and worked alongside other students at Western Heights High School.
Te Puia general manager sales and marketing Kiri Atkinson-Crean said the annual return of the Sagami Women's University High School sent accolades not just to Te Puia, Skyline, Agrodome and Western Heights, but also to Rotorua.
"To have the school return year-on-year is testament to the spirit of manaakitanga (hosting) that our city is so proud to share - they always feel welcome and know we will take care of them.
"Rotorua has a great relationship with Sagami School, which we hope will last long into the future. Over the past 10 years, Rotorua has played host to 3000 Sagami students - every one of which holds Rotorua in a special place in their hearts."
