Rotorua's bars are a great place to enjoy a night out.

Whether it's live music, craft beers, late night dancing or just a place to enjoy a wine with friends - Rotorua's nightlife scene has something for everyone.

The combination of summer weather and a revamped Eat Streat has brought new life to the city's social scene in recent weeks, with locals and tourists alike enjoying the atmosphere.

Eat Streat is as good a place as any to kick off a night out, with Scotty's Bar and Brew Craft Beer Pub favourites for their relaxed atmospheres. Brew is also the home of Croucher beer - made right here in Rotorua.

Of course, the street's restaurants are more than happy for punters to just enjoy a few drinks if they don't fancy a full meal.

A short stroll down the road is Rotorua's oldest pub, Pig & Whistle, which has live bands on the weekends and is a great spot to catch a sports match on the big screen TVs.

it's a nice evening, one of the best beer gardens in town has to be at Abracadabra, while just around the corner are Ruck 'n Maul and Our Backyard Pub. And if it's Irish you're after, Hennessy's offers more than just Guinness.

As the night wears on, the young and young at heart head to Lava Bar, with regular DJs, competitions and plenty of backpackers to practice your foreign languages on. As we report today, new nightclub #Vegas should be open soon, providing clubbers with another late night option.

Of course, there are plenty more great options in the city and CBD - get out there, explore and enjoy.
