Rotorua singers take on big hits from shows

DYNAMIC DUO: Rotorua singers Evelyn Falconer and Susan Morrison will take to the stage at Rotorua Musical Theatre's next production, Duet II. PHOTO/SUPPLIED

Rotorua, get ready for a musical extravaganza with two of the city's most loved performers.

The Rotorua Musical Theatre's next production, DUET II, opens this Friday at Casa Blanca Theatre, featuring well-known Rotorua singers Evelyn Falconer and Susan Morrison.

DUET II: Older Not Necessarily Wiser is a show featuring some of the biggest musical numbers of all time, including songs from Cats, Evita,Wicked, Chicago, Cabaret, Chess and more.

Rotorua Musical Theatre's Richard Marshall said the performance was a fantastic opportunity to round up friends and family and enjoy a good night out. "It's going to be a wonderful night out featuring some of the biggest hits in musical theatres and two incredibly-talented performers who have spent years singing and performing for the local community," he said.

Mr Marshall described the show as highly-entertaining and full of laughs, and said it was sure to have audiences giggling.

It was a show not to be missed, he said.

DUET II will run at Casa Blanca Theatre for seven performances only, opening this Friday and running until October 5.

Tickets are available from Ticketmaster at the Rotorua Convention Centre or online at www.ticketmaster.co.nz.
