Mrs Nelson said she was overwhelmed by the number of organisations and companies donating their time, energy and money for the celebrations.
Unison is running a competition to win $400 off your power bill, while Chris Smith Glass is donating more than $2500 worth of products.
The celebration will be complete with a birthday cake donated by Pak'n Save and the Sulphur City Steam Rollers roller derby team will host an air guitar competition.
Red Stag is also getting behind the event, donating a trailer-load of firewood for a lucky competition winner.
"I just want to thank everyone who is getting involved, your generosity just astounds me," Mrs Nelson said.
She was certain the night market had a long and successful future.
"I think next year, it's going to be even bigger and better.
"I'd love to see it grow even more, so watch this space," she said.
The market starts at 5pm on Tutanekai St.
