The Rotorua Netball season comes to a head this weekend with the final round of the Senior Championship.

The format for Premier 1 is round robin only, so Saturday's games provide the last opportunity for teams to improve their placings. A win is worth two competition points.

Murupara Stingers top the table with 16 points, Marist Magic are second (14), Rotorua Girls' High School are third (12), Kahukura Red (6) and Mitchell Downs (6) are fourth and fifth, while Waikite Panthers (0) are bottom of the table.

The final round includes what should be a cracking game between second and third, Marist and Rotorua Girls'. A win for Rotorua Girls' will put them even on points with Marist in second. If Marist win and Murupara lose to Waikite, Marist will join Murupara at the top of the table and be crowned joint winners.

Meanwhile, Kahukura Red play Mitchell Downs and the winner will take fourth place outright.
