Friday, October 4 - Tuesday, October 8: Rotorua Mega Fun Carnival, Lakefront Reserve. Open 1pm & 7pm daily (weather dependent).

Saturday, October 5: Friends of the Rotorua Library book sale from 9am to 1pm. Kuirau Park – adjacent to the playground.

Saturday, October 5: Rotorua Symphonic Band playing a selection of tunes from stage musicals, 4pm, Rotorua Baptist Church, adults $15, children $5 at the door or from www.trybooking.com.

Saturday, October 5: Te Hiku o Te Ika Māori Rugby Competition. 12pm to 5pm. Rotorua International Stadium. Free.

Saturday, October 5: Dutch Market. 10am to 12pm. The Netherlands Society Clubrooms, Neil Hunt Park.

Saturday, October 5: Rotary Charity Market. Kuirau Park. Wet or fine. 7am to 2pm. Proceeds used in the community. Sites for stalls cost $20.

Sunday, October 6: Race at the Lakes - dragon boat racing for local businesses, friends and whanau. Free to watch, participation costs apply.

Sunday, October 6: Hot Tub ensemble performance. At Rotorua Jazz Club (Citizens Club, Rangiuru S). 5pm to 8pm.

Wednesday, October 9: Mitre 10 Mega Rotorua Ladies Night. 6pm to 9.30pm. Mitre 10 Mega Rotorua. Tickets $5, available in store.
