Rotorua's daytime drop-in centre has been temporarily closed.

A post on the Visions of a Helping Hand Charitable Trust Facebook page says the centre was "closed temporarily for one week".

The trust, which operates the centre, said in the post the centre was closed due to the "disrespectful behaviour that has been happening".

The centre is expected to reopen on Wednesday.

Sanctuary Manaakitanga, the night shelter at the same address, will continue to operate as per usual.
