The Rotorua Daily Post has been named a finalist for Newspaper of the Year in the 2019 Voyager Media Awards.
Rotorua's daily paper is up against its NZME sister publication the Bay of Plenty Times and the Waikato Times for Newspaper of the Year in the up to 30,000 circulationcategory.
The Taupō & Turangi Weekender is also a finalist for Community Newspaper of the Year up against the Kapiti Observer, the Whakatane Beacon, the The Star Dunedin, and the Wairarapa Times-Age.

photographers Stephen Parker and Ben Fraser have also been named finalists for their work over the past year.
This image of flooding on Pioneer Rd in Ngongotaha in April 2018 is part of Ben Fraser's Photographer of the Year portfolio.
Parker is a finalist for Best Portrait Photography while Fraser is up for Photographer of the Year and best General Photography.
