Police have released the name of the person killed in a crash near Rotorua on Tuesday. She was local woman Teresa Diane Morgan, 54.
Bay of Plenty district road policing manager Inspector Brent Crowe said police were still investigating.
He said once they had finished investigating the matter would bereferred to the coroner.
Mrs Morgan was one of six people involved in the crash, which happened around 11.45 along State Highway 5 at the start of the passing lane heading north past the Tupapakurua Bridge at Tarukenga. The crash involved three cars and one truck.
