Three Valais Blacknose lambs, known widely as the cutest sheep in the world, have joined the whānau at Rotorua's Agrodome.

The lambs can be found in the farm's new pop-up nursery, where they are already popular, because of their striking black faces and shaggy white coats.

Agrodome is the only place for the general public to see Valais Blacknose sheep in New Zealand.

Visitors can pat, cuddle and get photos with the lambs, as well as feed them - depending on the time of day.

Agrodome business manager John Rippingham said the lambs were a lovely addition to the farm and the pop-up nursery.

"We now have 26 different breeds of sheep here, but this is by far the most excitement a new breed has caused," he said.

"These little guys are very friendly and don't shy away from humans. They don't have names yet and we want to get to know them before we decide – we want to choose names that match their personalities."

The lambs will be housed in Agrodome's pop-up nursery until they are about six months old, then they will be moved into one of the farm paddocks.

Agrodome gets more lambs every six months because of an exclusive partnership with a breeder in Cambridge.
