This weekend's Rogue Fest is set to be a festival like no other.

Original music, barefeet dancing, raw food, cooking sessions and arts and crafts will be on offer at the festival held at Waiotapu today, tomorrow and Sunday.

Organiser Karin Vincent said the event was different to other festivals in the region.

"It's something really unique. It's 100 per cent homegrown.

"We're keeping it simple, fun and entertaining," she said.

"Hopefully, people have a really great time," she said.

The line-up includes Bond Street Bridge, the Sonic Delusion Full Band, Matiu Te Huki, Jersey Bob, Mat Rapid and others.

Ms Vincent said the festival featured music of all genres.

"There's folk music, electro folk, soul, reggae, indie rock and rock 'n' roll and more, so there's definitely something for everyone to enjoy."

Festival-goers will get to camp on site, cook together and participate in numerous activities during the three-day event, she said.

A two-hour trek to Rainbow Mountain and dip in the hot pools 2km away was also an option for festival-goers looking for other activities to do, Ms Vincent said.

She hoped for a big turnout.
