Local employers will have the chance to find out how to "future proof their business" when a roadshow comes to town.
The 2018 Diversity Roadshow: The Workforce of the Future will be in Rotorua on March 14, giving local employers the opportunity to engage with employees across a diverse rangeof ages and cultures.
The roadshow series, which is travelling around New Zealand, is being run by Diversity Works New Zealand in partnership with the New Zealand Chambers of Commerce.
"Diversity and inclusion in the workplace bring many business benefits – a solution to skill shortages, a better ability to connect with customers and clients, better decision making, a more engaged team, higher productivity and a competitive edge," Diversity Works New Zealand chief executive Bev Cassidy-Mackenzie said.
"But it also comes with challenges and means organisations must adapt their practices and policies to ensure they have a good employer brand and access to the top talent in their sector."
Kevin Sharpe from Real Journeys will be at the roadshow to share how his organisation developed a wisdom workers initiative utilising the experience of its older workers to train younger staff.
Real Journeys was the Supreme Winner at the 2017 Diversity Awards NZ.
