If you want fresh, flavoursome and fast food in a relaxed dining setting, this is the place to go.

The Thai Restaurant straddles being a takeaway and dine-in restaurant well, and accommodates large and small groups.

My friend, who has visited Thailand, said she was blown away with how authentically Thai the decor was, which added to the experience, with traditional Thai-style decorations on the walls and a very Thai feel to the place.

The drinks
The Thai Restaurant is a BYO and it is also fully licensed. It has a comprehensive drinks menu as well.

The food
The food was good value for money. We both ordered entree-sized meals, with another entree to share, and were satisfied. I ordered the Tom Kar Gai Chicken and Coconut Milk Soup, entree sized, and the mixed entree to share. The soup was fresh and tasty. My friend ordered the Tom Yum Goong Sour Prawn Soup, entree sized. The Thai Restaurant has a grading system of mild, medium, hot and hot Thai, and the prawn soup was graded hot. My friend found the soup was delicious and flavoured well.

The service
The service at the restaurant was prompt, friendly and efficient. The staff were quite busy with a few larger groups but that did not delay our meals.

The Prices
The prices were very reasonable - we spent less than $20 each and were very happy with our entree-sized meals. The full sized meals were reasonably priced too. Most were about $25, and you would not be spending more than $30 on a meal.

Overall
We both left feeling content with the tasty and cost-effective meals we had and would definitely return.
