Arawa Park Community Trust executive officer Tony Spain and trustee Owen Nickel are pictured with the new feature they hope will become a winner for Arawa Park raceway.
Mr Spain said it replaced the upside-down horseshoe as the finishing post for races, but he also hoped it would become awell-known symbol.
When the horseshoe was blown down in a storm they decided to take the opportunity to create "something different", he said.
