Horizon Energy wishes to advise customers that as of 12:48 pm power supply had been interrupted to the area between King Street and Arawa Road in Whakatane.
Power has now been restored to the majority of customers and currently only 40 customers in Paterson Place and Cutler Crescent are withoutsupply.
Contractors are on site busy with the repairs. Power supply to the remaining customers is expected to be restored in four hours.
Horizon Energy apologises for the inconvenience this event may have caused and advises all customers to contact their retailers in the first instance and to treat all lines as alive at all times.
