Police investigating the shooting death of a Kinloch man have seized a vehicle.

Scott John Henry, 48, died from a gunshot wound on July 20. His body was found at his property on Whangamata Rd, north-west of Taupo.

Detective Senior Sergeant John Wilson, of the Bay of Plenty CIB, said the vehicle was seized in Rotorua yesterday and will be forensically examined.

"Police believe this vehicle is central to the investigation into the death of Mr Henry."

This week police searched an area of the Pureora Forest near the Centre of the North Island Track in relation to the homicide investigation, Wilson said.
