Tauranga Police are seeking the whereabouts of an elderly man who went missing from a rest home in Maketu.

John Kohi Mohi, also known as Johnny Moses, was last seen at 1pm yesterday on Wilson Rd in Maketu. He was reported missing at 8.40pm on Monday.

A police media communications spokeswoman said the 77-year-old has dementia and "would be very confused".

John is 6ft tall, with a slim build and short white hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue jersey with green stripes across the chest area.
