Police can now name the man who died in a crash on State Highway 33 on Wednesday December 21.
He was Fabian Takerei-White, aged 18, from Rotorua, police said in a media statement.
Police extend their sympathies to his whānau and loved ones.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
