Police are looking for a man after a robbery at a Rotorua service station in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to the BP on Fenton St about 3.30am today.
A police media spokeswoman said a scene examination was conducted and inquiries were ongoing.
A spokeswoman fromBP said the staff were unable to comment about the incident and passed the media queries on to the company's head office, which was yet to respond.
People on social media have commented on public pages that the service station was still cordoned off by police at 7am today.
