Police are talking to a man aftera woman was seriously injured in Kawerau.

Last night police appealed for information to help find a man who was walking a dog at Firmin Field when the woman was hurt on June 2, in what police said was a family harm incident.

Police said they could not give the Rotorua Daily Post details on how the woman was injured or her current condition for "operational reasons".

Police thanked the public for their assistance.
