Person hit by vehicle near school on Old Taupō Rd

A person has been hit by a vehicle on Old Taupō Rd.

A police spokeswoman said police and ambulance were called to the scene near Rotorua Girls' High School about 1.48pm.

One person has been injured, she said.

St John treated one patient in a moderate condition and transported them to Rotorua hospital, a spokesperson said.

An ambulance and a rapid response unit responded to the scene.
