Police called to a person and car collision in Taupō. Photo / File

A person has been hit by a car on Spa Rd in Taupō this morning.

St John and police were called to the scene on Spa Rd near Taupō-nui-a-Tia College at 7am.

A police spokeswoman said one person and one car was involved and the person had minor injuries.

St John was unable to be reached.
